Summary

Man I have been playing this game for over a year, I have been putting off this review for a very long time, but the sequel will be out soon so I need to get it out of the way. I still do not know where to start. On the PSP version this game starts out with 18 playable superheroes. You can unlock 9 more as you progress through the game. It is basically a beat em up, with many ways to customize the heroes you are using in the game. The game has a lot of content for a PSP game and if you were every a fan of comic books then you really need to have this game in your collection. I have beating the game like 3 times and I still can not figure out what my "Ultimate Alliance" is...from Spider Man to Ironman to Blade, every team I put together ends up having a hero I really like. So my goal is to build my ultimate team that I will use for the rest of the series, there is already another game coming out "Ultimate Alliance 2" I would like to carry my roster over to the next game. Some of the classic bad guys are missing from the overall story though. Magneto, Kingpin, Red Skull, Green Goblin, but there a many that did make the cut like Loki, Dr Doom, Mandarin & Bullseye. Its not just a button masher, you have skill to get rid of many of the enemies you have to face. If you have a PSP, get this game. If you have any system get this game. You should enjoy it. Peace & Love

Do you like superheroes? Need another game for your psp? Then get this game.

Summary

If Marvel: Ultimate Alliance did not have the word "Marvel" in it, nobody would care about this game. It would be just another boring hack n' slash game with a passable story and nothing else. But add the ability to create your own Marvel team complete with superhero powers and doing all that in tons of Marvel-themed places, and you got yourself an awesome game.
Let's just get it out there that MUA doesn't look all that great on the psp. Compared to the console versions, the graphics are way outdated. But what can you expect. You can create your own team of four Marvel superheroes and play through a cheesy but passable story. The game is simple hack n' slash, but you can use superhero powers, too. Along the way you will visit many Marvel universe settings, from Atlantis to Mephisto's Realm to Castle Doom. The levels are usually pretty long, but not long enough to get boring.
Overall, MUA is a fun action game who's best feature is the ability to assemble your own Marvel team. If you can, buy this game on a next-gen console, but the psp version is just as good.

Summary

Right after you pop in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance or MUA,you'll be glad you picked the game up right from the start. As usual with my reviews,I'll start with the graphics. They're quite well done for a PSP game.Though the games over all textures look a bit muddy. There can also be a bit of slow down in the frame rate, but this usually only happens when you have an assortment of characters & enemies on screen while performing a special attack at the same time. All of the levels look sharper than the character models, and the animation is pretty good with each attack your character brings to the table. The game resembles a quality PSP game at most though.

The voice acting and sound track are also all very well done. The voice acting sounds as cheesy as it should sound, being full of super heroes. The sound track also fits each level suitably as well. The game, over all, dose well in its sound performance.

As the story gos,the worlds Super Villains have joined together to create the Master Of Evil!As always the super heroes go ahead and create their alliance to stop the villains. The story takes you to pretty much every possible location, even underwater. The plot is quite enjoyable over all,but quite predictable.

So what do you do in MUA,well its basically a button masher with light RPG elements. The button mashing is just self explaining,so I'll move on to talk about the RPG elements. They're not to deep,so don't go in expect anything to complicated. You can basically upgrade different moves and your different attack/other power bars. You can also level up each of your characters.Speaking of characters, there are a ton to play as.You really get all of the necessary ones like Spider Man,Wolverine, and a few others plus more.Another cool RPG element is the option of making your own team of heroes to play as which you can name, and even give a specific emblem for.The game is just a blast to play, and really makes you go wow.

Whats bad about MUA?Well nothing really, except the graphics.Though they still look good for being a PSP game, but not as good as other titles on the hand held.

Final Verdict: If you have any interest in Marvel anything, then just go out and buy this game right now.Its that fun.Or,if you just need a fun adventure/action game, then definitely give this a try.

Praise be Marvel for combining all of its entities to create a gallimaufry of fun elements!

Summary

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a satisfying game so put it lightly; with all of the available characters it is hard to denounce this game. Chaos ensues on the screen constantly which is a bit of the trouble for the camera, but it still manages well. The settings change quite a bit which is a nice relief because it is much funner to kick a _ _ in a threshold of new places instead of the same, dull environment. Glitches are encountered however; which make the game lose momentum when it feels as though it is just about to gain it. You can keep it classic with the traditional Marvel teams, or you can make your own team. This is an amazing, underrated feature. Leveling up is both satisfying and necessary to defeat the plethora of evil bosses you will encounter in this game. Even if you are not a Marvel fan, as I am not a huge one, you should at least research this game and see if it tickles your fancy, but if you are moderately or even remotely interested in Marvel, you should buy this bargain now!

This wasn't what i expected it was great believe me i have the ps3 version and the graphics may be good for the ps3 but the game isnt really good. But for the psp it was fantastic, many different levels, locations, character with special ability and you can check the users review it says 8.5 but for the ps3 it says 8.0 which makes the psp game enjoyable. Think for the psp users they can say this was better then psp. i personally think that the ps3 is better but considering this game psp won the battle. So psp-251 ps3-432 check on gamevsgame.com this game was a hit. And maybe the ngp will be better?
